Early Morning. Pre-Workshop.

I just made some coffee.

It’s 4:30AM.

Trying to shake off the lingering sleep.

Rearranging my thoughts in a slightly more coherent order than when I first opened my eyes.

My thoughts go straight to the workshop and what needs to be done today to set me up for success tomorrow.

Milling down more lumber, making a batch of kerfed lining, assembling more neck blanks.

I’m currently in Octave Mandolin mindset.

Three different body styles and each one uniquely different.

A Two-Point, Modified F-style and a small body-guitar shape.

I credit Bret Roberts for putting Octave Mandolins on my build radar as something to dive into.

I made him a two-point last year.

But here I am now and it’s not last year.

I’m working hard to document the builds not just in pictures, but in video.

It’s a juggling act.  Life.  This.  Mindset.  Everything.

Coffee.  Wake up.  Get to work.
